Daily maintenance of machining center equipment

After a certain period of operation, some components of each vertical machining center (VMC) inevitably experience wear or failure. To minimize abnormal wear and tear, extend component lifespan as much as possible, and effectively prevent sudden breakdowns—especially serious accidents—the machining center equipment company must perform diligent daily maintenance. This keeps the VMC in good working condition, slows the aging process, allows for timely detection and elimination of potential faults, and ensures safe operation. Strict adherence to safe operation and maintenance procedures is one of the key factors for the correct use of CNC equipment.

  1. Operating Environment for Vertical Machining Centers:To maximize the service life of CNC equipment, it is generally necessary to avoid direct sunlight and other sources of heat radiation. Environments that are excessively humid, dusty, or contain corrosive gases should also be avoided. Furthermore, precision CNC equipment should be kept away from high-vibration machinery such as punch presses and forging equipment.

Adequate Power Supply:To guard against the effects of significant power fluctuations (greater than ±10%) and potential transient interference signals, CNC equipment should generally be connected to a dedicated power line (e.g., a separate line from the low-voltage distribution room specifically for the CNC machine). Ideally, a voltage stabilizer should be added to further mitigate the impact of power quality issues and electrical interference.

 

3.Establish Effective Operating Procedures: For the use and management of CNC machine tools, it is essential to establish a series of practical and effective operating procedures. These include protocols for lubrication, maintenance, proper operation, and standardized shift handover systems. These constitute the main content of a company's CNC equipment usage and management policy. Formulating and strictly following operating procedures is one of the crucial measures to ensure the safe operation of CNC machine tools. Experience has proven that the majority of faults can be reduced or avoided by adhering to these procedures.
